Entry requirements
- You must be employed in a role relevant to this programme to be eligible to apply
- You must possess 2 years’ minimum work related experience in HR and be currently at a senior level
- Your current role should be UK based and you must have lived here for at least three years
- The programme must address development needs in your current role
- Your line manager must be able to support you throughout the programme
What will you learn?
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation to enable you to make crucial interventions to ensure your organisation’s relations with employees are effective and compliant.
- How to analyse future workforce trends and providing essential insight around people analytics to influence senior stakeholders and recommendations for change.
- Identifying, evaluating and utilising technology to deliver a people strategy. This programme will also develop continuous improvement approaches to maximise the use of limited resources in the organisation.

Skills and behaviours
- Design and implement a range of people policies, processes, approaches and practices in line with the organisations strategic plan, culture and values
- Identify and recognise the interventions an organisation needs to create the desired culture and behaviours
- Develop and implement people plans and integrated people practices in line with organisational and people strategy
- Devise, analyse, interpret and offer insight into data and metrics and the insights they provide to the industry and organisation for the purpose of creating value
- Ensure that people policies and practices are inclusive, recognising the impact on individuals and groups and supporting diversity
- Align and evaluate worker voice tools and approaches and drive forward the outputs.
- Manage complex relationships across multiple and diverse stakeholders, building trust and rapport with the ability to positively challenge
End Point Assessment
Once you have completed all of the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, you will complete an End Point Assessment. This is conducted by an external assessment organisation and will be graded as either a pass, fail, or distinction.
How we support you
- You will be taught by expert tutors who have practical experience in the fields in which they teach and a passion to share that knowledge to maximise your career potential
- You will have access to a Coach who is on hand to guide you through each stage of your learning journey, providing you with clear aims and objectives. They will keep in regular contact with you and instil the confidence that you can achieve
- You will also attend webinars to develop skills in a variety of areas and prepare you for the end point assessment.
- You will have access to an Online Learning Environment with all of your qualification content, additional learning resources and all the step-by-step support you need to ensure your success
Commitment from you
During this programme, six hours a week will be spent on learning and developing the required Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours. This development time will include learning new relevant tasks in your role, embedding your knowledge in your role, practical workplace training, spending development time with your Line Manager, attending online or face-to-face courses and time spent writing assignments/assessments or directed self-study hours:
- CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management work
- Evidencing the application of your knowledge within your working day
- Independent study and research
- Shadowing colleagues and mentoring
- Technical training
Progression upon completion
- On completion the Level 7 is the Advanced Level of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is equivalent to a postgraduate qualification. Only the CIPD Level 7 Diploma will allow you to gain the prestigious CIPD Chartered Member (MCIPD) or Chartered Fellow (FCIPD) status
