Description
Learners will become versed in a variety of administrative services, including Insurance applications and claims with both internal and external stakeholders, from clients, underwriters, senior management, claims, brokers to third-party vendors. Depending on your intended career pathway, this apprenticeship will specialise in a key discipline of either underwriting, claims or broking and offers a Cert CII qualification.
Entry requirements
To be eligible you must fulfil the following criteria:
- You must be employed in a role relevant to this programme to be eligible to apply.
- Your current role should be UK based and you must have lived here for at least three years
- The programme must address development needs in your current role
- Your line manager must be able to support you throughout the programme
What will you learn?
- Alongside understanding the insurance market and its regulation, you will also enhance your quality-of-service and relationship management as a financial services administrator to both clients and stakeholders.
How is the programme structured?
This 18-month programme consists of three CII modules and five EPA simulation activities, completed over 14 months, with the final four months spent preparing and completing the EPA.
There is an induction webinar in week one that provides an overview of expectations, commitment, a demonstration of The Hub, and how to access resources and programme support. The induction will be followed by a welcome call from their designated coach. This helps to build a solid relationship which is fundamental to your employees’ success.

How we support you
- We place great emphasis on the importance of coaching and the value it can bring to your employees’ experience. Our coaches are recruited for their specialist skills in the programmes they coach and their practical industry experience
- Employees will attend several coaching interventions, facilitated through a number of one-to-one and more formal progress review meetings
- Guidance from expert tutors – as with our coaches, our tutors are highly qualified professionals who have been recruited from industry. This allows them to bring real-life examples and case studies to their lessons, and to share experiences with your employees
- Individual tailored learning – BPP coaches work with your employees on developing a tailored learning plan to support in any additional growth areas that may benefit your business
- Preparation for the End Point Assessment to ensure your employees have every chance of success
Commitment from you
During this programme, six hours a week will be spent on learning and developing the required Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours. This development time will include learning new relevant tasks in your role, embedding your knowledge in your role, practical workplace training, spending development time with your Line Manager, attending online or face-to-face courses and time spent writing assignments/assessments or directed self-study hours.
