Guided by expert tutors, you’ll build advanced technical skills in critical areas including, programming, big data, advanced analytics, AI, machine learning and robotic process automation.

Your learning is contextualised with an emphasis on practical application from the outset. That means you’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of the strategic role of data in your organisation, with the ability to visualise and present data stories to key stakeholders within the business

Entry requirements

To be eligible you must fulfil the following criteria:
  1. You must working in a technology related job role
  2. Your current role should be UK based and you must have lived here for at least three years
  3. The programme must address development needs in your current role
  4. Your line manager must be able to support you throughout the programme
  5. Hold Grade 4 (C) or above in at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
You will also require one of the following;
  • 104 UCAS points
  • Have a recognized and equivalent qualification (examinations and experience will be considered)
  • Completion of a Level 3 apprenticeship/professional qualification in a relevant discipline.

Commitment from you

During this programme, six hours a week will be spent on learning and developing the required Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours. This development time will include learning new relevant tasks in your role, embedding your knowledge in your role, practical workplace training, spending development time with your Line Manager, attending online or face-to-face courses and time spent writing assignments/assessments or directed self-study hours:
  • Evidencing the application of your knowledge within your working day
  • Independent study and research
  • Shadowing colleagues and mentoring
  • Technical training
